A one-day course exploring how Environmental, Social, and Governance principles can be integrated across the mining value chain, delivered by Dr. Rose Clarke, Sustainability Lead and Operations Director at Satarla.
This course aims to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of how Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles can be integrated across various stages of the mining value chain. Participants will learn how to identify ESG and sustainability threats and opportunities, implement sustainable practices, and report on ESG performance effectively.
After this course you will be able to:
- Define ESG and sustainability, and their importance in today’s business landscape
- Identify key threats and opportunities at each stage of the value chain
- Develop Strategies for integrated ESG into the mining lifecycle, including procurement, development and operations
- Explain the importance of stakeholder engagement and shared value
- Assess governance frameworks for ESG oversight and reporting
- Apply ESG reporting standards and frameworks effectively
