Description
In this live online session, learners will explore how mining and exploration companies can communicate their work clearly, credibly and transparently.
Participants will examine how communication can build or erode stakeholder trust. They will learn how to explain complex technical, commercial, environmental and social information to audiences with different priorities, concerns and levels of technical knowledge.
The course will help participants define the purpose of their communications, identify priority stakeholders and adapt their project story for different audiences without creating inconsistencies.
Participants will also examine common greenwashing risks, including unsupported claims, selective reporting and missing context. They will consider how evidence, current data and honest communication about risks, uncertainty and limitations can support credible claims.
Practical activities will help participants assess their existing communication materials and channels. They will explore options such as websites, reports, social media, community materials, presentations, live events, monitoring dashboards and regularly updated project information.
By the end of the course, participants will have developed an initial stakeholder communications plan covering their purpose, audiences, core story, evidence, risks, channels, responsibilities, update frequency and measures of success.
Whether you work in communications, external affairs, investor relations, sustainability, community engagement, leadership or a technical role, this course will help you communicate your company or project story with greater clarity and credibility.
